EMT's / Paramedic's / Firefighter's Needed

The City of Hesston is looking to fill EMT/Firefighter, and Paramedic/Firefighter full time positions.

Hesston Fire/EMS is a progressive combination department that provides service to a population of approximately 5000 in over 75 square miles of Harvey and McPherson Counties. Responses include over 750 EMS and 200 Fire requests for service per year.

This position will work weekdays, 24 hours on and 24 hours off following a Monday, Wednesday, Friday schedule on week one, and Tuesday, Thursday on week two. Hesston Fire/EMS offers competitive wages, and excellent benefits including health, dental, and vision coverage, KPERS retirement, paid vacation, sick leave and holiday pay.

Qualifications
  • Kansas EMT or Kansas Paramedic certification
  • Able to successfully acquire National Firefighter I certification in the first year of employment
  • Able to successfully acquire National Firefighter II certification in the second year of employment
  • Live within 30 mile radius of Hesston within the first year of employment
  • Valid Kansas Driver's License
  • Pass a background check, department physical assessment, and a drug screen
