Fire Inspector/EMT or Paramedic Needed

The City of Hesston is looking to fill EMT/Firefighter, and Paramedic/Firefighter full time positions.

Hesston Fire/EMS is a progressive combination department that provides service to a population of approximately 5000 in over 75 square miles of Harvey and McPherson Counties. Responses include over 750 EMS and 200 Fire requests for service per year.

 This position is Monday-Friday from 0800-1600. Hesston Fire/EMS offers competitive wages, and excellent benefits including health, dental, and vision coverage, KPERS retirement, paid vacation, sick leave and holiday pay.

Qualifications
  • Kansas EMT or Kansas Paramedic certification
  • National Firefighter I and II or equivalent certification
  • Able to successfully complete Fire Inspector I certification within one year of employment
  • Able to successfully complete Fire Investigator certification within two years of employment
  • Live within 30 mile radius of Hesston within the first year of employment
  • Valid Kansas Driver's License
  • Pass a background check, department physical assessment, and a drug screen
